Comparison of handline tuna catches in Indian Ocean and Banda Sea waters

چکیده
There are two essential landing sites for handline tuna in Indonesia: Palabuhanratu (in the Indian Ocean) and Kendari Banda Sea). This paper analyzes catches from Ocean Sea waters as main fishing ground. The catch composition of landed is more varied than Palabuhanratu. Several species commonly caught yellowfin ( Thunnus albacares ), skipjack Katsuwonus pelamis bigeye obesus ) a target species, some billfish bycatch. Mean CPUE lower Kendari. A significant difference based on monthly mean variation between (p < 0.001). Handline had comprehensive range length sizes Kendari, using two-sample K-S test showed differences fish size relatively smaller average by at first maturity (Lm) value both sites. use large hook hand lines recommended catching tunas this area.

Shift in tuna catches due to ocean warming
Ocean warming is already affecting global fisheries with an increasing dominance of catches of warmer water species at higher latitudes and lower catches of tropical and subtropical species in the tropics. Tuna distributions are highly conditioned by sea temperature, for this reason and their worldwide distribution, their populations may be a good indicator of the effect of climate change on gl...

The Makran Coast (Iranian Coastline of the Oman Sea on the Northern Indian Ocean) plays an important role in country’s future navigation and trade due to its accessibility. In 2014, the Iranian Makran coastline was selected by the PMO to be studied as the Phase 6 in the series of Monitoring and Modelling Studies of Iranian Coasts with all disciplines being in investigated including currents. متن کاملTuna Longline Catch Rates in the Indian Ocean
Myers and Worm’s recent letter to the editor raise serious concerns about the impacts of the industrial fishing on large predatory fish and the associated biological community in four continental shelf and nine pelagic oceanic systems. They suggest that in these systems industrial fisheries have removed 90% of the large predators and that these removals may compromise the sustainability of fish...
متن کاملDistribution Modeling of Bigeye Tuna (Thunnus obesus Lowe, 1839), Using Satellite Derived Environmental Variables in Indian Ocean
Understanding effects of environment on the distribution of economic fish is a fundamental step in the ecosystem-based management and ultimately a standard approach in management policies. Bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) is one of the most important aquatic species harvested in the Indian Ocean. The present study investigated the association of different variables effecting the rate of catch and d...
